<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Full-Time</strong></p><p><strong>Work from Home</strong></p><p><strong>*Must be available during weekdays and regular business hours*</strong></p><p>As a Vocational Instructor at Geseron Employment Consulting Ltd. (GEC Ltd.), you will support and motivate clients as they build the skills, tools, and confidence they need to successfully enter, re-enter, and navigate career transitions or changes in the workforce. You will guide clients through GEC Ltd.s structured career development services and programming, designed to strengthen employment readiness skills and provide personalized support based on each clients circumstance. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about career development, coaching, and supporting individuals throughout their employment journey.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Deliver GEC Ltd.s structured career development services and programs.</li><li>Manage your assigned caseload and coordinate virtual sessions.</li><li>Assist clients in identifying their skills, interests, and employment goals, including understanding potential job options. </li><li>Provide guidance and coaching on job search skills and techniques; including preparation for applications and interviews. </li><li>Motivate and support clients throughout the program, addressing common challenges and expectations related to workforce entry, re-entry, and/or career transitions.</li><li>Create and customize cover letters and resumes for clients according to GEC Ltd.s standardized expectations.</li><li>Monitoring program milestones, identifying barriers, and implementing solutions to ensure progress.</li><li>Maintain regular weekly contact with clients throughout the program duration. </li><li>Track client progress, engagement, and detailed documentation of session outcomes in line with GEC Ltd. program guidelines and reporting expectations. </li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><ul><li>Comprehensive knowledge and experience in the vocational rehabilitation industry including but not limited to career counselling theory, labour market information, resume and cover letter writing, industry-specific job markets, employment trends, hidden job market, online job platforms, and other vocational exploration strategies.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present, explain, and document concepts clearly.</li><li>Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, deadlines, and competing priorities effectively.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills with the ability to motivate and connect with diverse populations, including military personnel, veterans, athletes, students, newly arrived individuals, and those with disabilities or complex employment barriers.</li><li>Ability to deliver focused and impactful services within a pre-determined duration.</li><li>Proactive, empathetic, and motivational approach to working with clients, including identifying and addressing challenges or barriers.</li><li>Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with the ability to follow established processes and procedures.</li><li>Reliable and consistent, with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.</li><li>Dedicated, distraction-free private workspace.</li><li>Computer or laptop with up-to-date antivirus software and high-speed internet connection.</li><li>Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, video conferencing platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams), and the ability to work within various systems/platforms with ease. </li><li>Familiarity with vocational assessments and career planning tools (e.g., ESDC resources, O*NET, or similar platforms).</li><li>Criminal record check required.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Post-secondary education, training, or certifications in career development, career counselling, vocational rehabilitation, human services, education, or a related field.</li><li>Two (2) or more years of experience in career development, employment services, or vocational rehabilitation.</li><li>A combination of equivalent education, training, and experience may be considered.
