The Sr. Director IT Category Management, will have a senior role in the management of all Strategic Sourcing and Category Management activities for all IT spend categories reporting to the head of IT Sourcing. This is a hands-on role where this person will conduct complex and sophisticated sourcing transactions to generate best in class agreements. This person will contribute toward the savings goals of the department. Although this is not a vendor management role, this person will be required to address contractual issues that may arise with vendors, that include license entitlement and fee disputes and resolve them to the satisfaction of senior management. To carry out this mission, this person will need to build strong partnerships with Business Unit Officers, the business unit CFOs and other key business stakeholders, and must be skilled in selling the Strategic Sourcing and Category Management concepts.
We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work from home.
Responsibilities:

Negotiate complex and sophisticated IT transactions, including software, hardware, cloud, colocation, network and telecommunications agreements

Bachelors degree required, Masters preferred

Address vendor disputes to resolve favorably for Broadridge

Build partnerships with key business units and successfully embed a formal, fact-based Strategic Sourcing and Category Management processes

Be highly persuasive and capable of building consensus

Recommend alternatives to continuously gain customer buy-in and endorsement

Build strong relationships with the leaders of all Procurement organization divisions

Demonstrate strong facilitation, leadership and interpersonal abilities when working with varying staff levels

Monitor and direct day-to-day execution of projects of any direct report team members

Support the development of a culture that attracts, rewards and promotes high quality deliverables and excellent customer service

Directly owning and managing major projects across all strategic sourcing phases (pre-Sourcing, Sourcing, and post Sourcing)

Develop and communicate workplans and ensure that issues are well addressed and consensus is established

Build and maintain high quality deliverables (e.g. RFx, Cost Analysis, Evaluation Tools, Presentations, Negotiation Guides and Contractual Documents)
Preferred Qualifications:
-
5-10 plus years of Leadership experience in IT Sourcing, and project and process management, preferably in the Financial Services and Fintech industries

15+ years of experience directly negotiating IT sourcing agreements

Well adept at contract drafting and negotiating, and addressing vendor disputes as they arise

Strong project management skills and good familiarity with varying project management tools

Deep understanding of suppliers and supply market dynamics; solid technical background and understanding of indirect of goods and services. In-depth knowledge of Procurement processes, including negotiation strategies

Leadership experience in negotiations and oversight of Category Management programs for a wide variety of products and services

Experience utilizing best practices to lead and manage major corporate cost reduction initiatives and process improvement programs

Strong leadership skills in addressing and resolving service issues with all Broadridge executives, non- executive and category management teams.

Ability to build “true” partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Demonstrated analytical skills including the ability to present business cases to drive stakeholder engagement and endorsement and process improvement
