Applied Composites (AC) is seeking an Intern, IT (Power BI).  This is a student or a recent graduate undergoing on-the-job supervised training in preparation for a desired career.  This internship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in data visualization, analytics, and business intelligence using Microsoft Power BI.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and data sources.
  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive and visually appealing Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Clean, transform, and model data to ensure accuracy and reliability for analysis.
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business decisions.
  • Assist in implementing data governance and best practices within Power BI.
  • Support ongoing data visualization projects and initiatives as assigned.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Power BI and data visualization techniques.
  • Document processes, workflows, and technical specifications related to Power BI development.


 Job Specifications:
 
Education:  
A Secondary Certificate/High School Diploma/GED and at least two years of schooling pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
Years Experience:  0-2 years of relevant work experience that will allow successful performance of job expectations
Skills:

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power BI or other data visualization tools is preferred.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex ideas and findings to stakeholders.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
