IT Systems Analyst needed to support Great Plains ERP system and in/outbound EDI transactions. Full-time/direct-hire position with our client.
Hybrid – 3 days remote, 2 days onsite (office located near Madison NC – north of Greensboro NC area).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE NEEDED:
- Maintain ERP and supporting applications to ensure maximum availability and business functions are met.
- Monitor and support EDI transactions for business partners.
- Develop and maintain reports for ERP system.
- Monitor and support ERP backups to ensure high availability on demand.
- Troubleshoot and resolve reported issues with ERP and supporting applications through IT ticketing system.
- EDI- Through understanding of Purchase Order and ASN components.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives associated with ERP and supporting applications.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all technology stakeholders.
- Oversee and support customer supplied applications (Vendor PackNShip, Vendor Warehouse)
- Support scanning solution (High Jump) to ensure functionality is available to support business needs.
- Oversee and support scanning device maintenance and availability.
- Work with vendors and consultants to improve business processes as needed.
- Work with company departments to improve business processes as needed.
- Document all maintenance and trouble-shooting tasks used to support ERP and supporting applications.
- Disaster recovery of the various information systems. Ensuring daily back-ups of the computer systems and monthly back-ups of the communication systems.
- Maintenance and annual testing of a disaster recovery plan.
- Responsible for ensuring that the ERP systems are functioning up to standards. This is a broad area encompassing the following:
-Maintain knowledge of developments in software and hardware and incorporate these developments into future systems of the company.
-Troubleshooting and resolving ERP system problems to users on a 24-hour basis.
-Maintain ERP and supporting applications databases.
-Develop scripts to support and improve ERP and supporting applications processes.
-Perform changes in computer and communication system hardware and software so that expenses and downtime are minimized while ensuring reliable and timely services.
