Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Financial Controller is a key member of the finance leadership team and plays a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the company while supporting its rapid growth.
What you will do:
– Oversee and manage the accounting team to ensure accurate and compliant operations.
– Develop and implement internal policies, procedures and controls to ensure regulatory compliance and accuracy of financial data.
– Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to provide accurate and timely information to management.
– Manage the budget process, including budget preparation, monitoring and analysis.
– Monitor the company’s cash flow and manage debt collection activities.
– Collaborate with other departments to ensure consistency and efficiency of financial operations.
– Participate in the development of financial strategies and provide advice to management to support the growth and profitability of the business.
– Conduct internal audits to assess risks and improve internal processes.
– All other related tasks
Qualifications
-Bachelor degree in finance or accounting with a CPA designation considered an asset
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, patterns, and insights from financial data
– In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial standards.
-Exceptional communication in French and English and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders
-Ability to work in a fast paced, high-pressure, ever changing environment
