<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>POSITION: Engineering Manager</strong><br /><strong>LOCATION: London, ON (onsite position)</strong><br><br><em>MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruiting firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring companies.</em><br><br> Our client is a growing Canadian engineering organization and manufacturer who is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the development of advanced automation systems and integrated engineering technologies.<br><br><em><strong>This role is ideal for a hands-on technical people leader with strong cross-discipline experience in mechanical, electrical, controls, and software integration who is excited by the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing product line!</strong></em><br><br>MUST HAVE: previous people leadership experience of a minimum team size of 3.<br><br><strong>Responsibilities: </strong><br /><ul><li>Lead technical direction for multi-disciplinary engineering teams.</li><li>Oversee full product development from concept, to testing and launch.</li><li>Approve architecture, design reviews, documentation, and technical decisions.</li><li>Support troubleshooting, validation, and continuous improvement.</li><li>Translate customer requirements into technical specifications.</li><li>Manage external engineering partners and ensure deliverable quality.</li><li>Mentor engineers and support team capability growth.</li></ul><strong>Requirements: </strong><br /><ul><li>Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or similar.</li><li>Experience leading engineering teams within automation, machinery, or integrated systems - previous people leadership experience is mandatory. </li><li>Strong understanding of system-level design across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.</li><li>Solid problem-solving, communication, and project leadership skills.</li><li>Experience with tools such as SolidWorks; knowledge of controls/PLC platforms is an asset.</li></ul> If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, please apply online. <br /><strong> </strong><br /> MacDonald Search Group is committed to diversity in hiring and more information on our EDI policy can be found on our website. <br /><em> </em><br /><em>Thank you for your interest in the role but only qualified candidates will be contacted. </em><br /><strong> </strong></p></p>
