Job Title: Virtual Desktop IT Support Specialist
Location: Toronto, ON
Duration: 6 months Contract (Potential extension and conversion)
Work Type: Hybrid, (Onsite 2 days/week)
Pay Range: C$25 – C$30 /Hr
Job Description:
Are you a tech-savvy IT support professional with a passion for virtual desktops? We’re seeking a talented Virtual Desktop IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team in Toronto.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Seamlessly onboard and offboard users to our Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) platform.
- Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize VDI performance, identifying and resolving issues using advanced tools and techniques.
- User Support: Provide first-level support and consultation to users, addressing their VDI-related inquiries.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams and external vendors to improve VDI infrastructure and user experience.
- Process Improvement: Contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven IT support experience
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows 10/11
- Hands-on experience with Citrix and virtual desktop technologies
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office Suite
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Active Directory, ADFS, and Azure AD
- Experience with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Familiarity with ServiceNow and NextThink
