Role Overview


The post holder will be responsible for carrying out day‑to‑day technical operations within the Immunology and Neuroimmunology laboratory at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. Duties include rotating through sections of the laboratory and performing a range of manual and automated diagnostic tests. Candidates may be required to complete a specialist portfolio in Clinical Immunology if not already achieved.


Working Hours


This is a part‑time post, 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday, for an initial fixed term of 12 months starting 1 April 2026. The role requires participation in a weekend and public holiday on‑call rota after appropriate training.


Qualifications


Candidates must be registered as a Biomedical Scientist with the Health Care Professions Council. Experience in an Immunology or Neuroimmunology diagnostic laboratory, or with techniques or methods used in these specialties, is highly desirable.
