<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Company Description<br><br><p>With over 1,600 employees in over 165 accounts, we’re proud to be known as the preferred food service partner for Canadian clients who value exceptional food quality and hospitality services.</p>Job Description<br><br><p><strong>About the Role</strong></p><p>We’re looking for a creative, outgoing, and food-loving individual to join our on-campus dining team at <strong>UPEI</strong> as a <strong>Student Engagement & Social Media Coordinator</strong>.</p><p>In this hands-on, on-site role, you’ll manage and grow the social media presence for the <strong>Wanda Wyatt Dining Hall</strong> and <strong>Samuels Café</strong>. You’ll be capturing authentic moments, creating content that makes students crave what’s on the menu, and building real connections in the dining hall.</p><p>If you’re passionate about storytelling through food, love being social (online <em>and</em> in person), and have a knack for capturing great photos and videos, this role is for you.</p><p><strong>What You’ll Do</strong></p><ul><li><p>Manage multiple social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Snapchat, etc.) for UPEI dining accounts.</p></li><li><p>Create daily content — posts, stories, reels, carousels, highlights, and more.</p></li><li><p>Capture and edit short- and long-form videos showcasing dining hall experiences, food features, and special events.</p></li><li><p>Design and publish graphics, flyers, and menus (both digital and printed) using <strong>Canva</strong>.</p></li><li><p>Engage directly with students on campus — run fun, interactive events, collect feedback, and highlight authentic moments.</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with culinary teams to create visually stunning food content.</p></li><li><p>Track insights and analytics to understand what’s working and adjust content strategies accordingly.</p></li><li><p>Maintain a consistent, professional tone that reflects <strong>Dana Hospitality’s</strong> brand and values.</p></li></ul><p> </p>Qualifications<br><br><p><strong>Qualifications & Skills</strong></p><ul><li><p>Strong experience in <strong>social media management</strong> and <strong>content creation</strong> — you know how to tell a story through visuals.</p></li><li><p>Skilled in <strong>Canva</strong> for digital and print design (non-negotiable).</p></li><li><p>Confident in <strong>photo and video capture/editing</strong> — quality is your priority.</p></li><li><p>Comfortable in front of the camera (bonus points!).</p></li><li><p>Personable, outgoing, and able to build rapport with students and staff alike.</p></li><li><p>Organized and self-motivated — you can manage your time and work independently.</p></li><li><p>Passionate about <strong>food and hospitality</strong> — previous experience in food service or hospitality is a strong asset.</p></li><li><p>Familiar with <strong>social media insights and analytics</strong> and how to pivot content based on data.</p></li></ul><br><br>Additional Information<br><br><ul><li><p><strong>Job Details</strong></p></li><li><p>Approximately <strong>80% on-site</strong>, 20% off-site (editing, scheduling, analytics).</p></li><li><p>Flexible scheduling to accommodate student timetables.</p></li><li><p>Applicants <strong>must</strong> submit:</p><ul><li><p>A <strong>resume</strong></p></li><li><p><strong>Examples of previous content work</strong> (social posts, videos, photography, or Canva graphics).</p></li></ul></li></ul></p></p>
