Job Description
I am working with a global construction company, who have a project in Brantford, ON, and requires a Site Engineer to start ASAP.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accuracy in site measurements, layouts, and technical compliance throughout the project lifecycle. This is a hands-on role working closely with site management, design teams, and subcontractors to deliver high-quality construction outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform site setting out and surveying to ensure works are carried out in line with design specifications.
- Interpret and implement construction drawings and plans accurately on-site.
- Monitor and check the accuracy of subcontractor work, providing technical guidance where required.
- Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, and design engineers to resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain records of survey data, as-built information, and quality checks.
- Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction, or related discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience as a Site Engineer on construction projects (ICI experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surveying equipment (e.g., total station, GPS, laser levels).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
- Good communication skills and ability to work within cross-functional site teams.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
