This individual will be reporting directly to the Site/Civil Lead in the Calgary office. This individual will serve a key function in providing the planning, design, and permitting of land/community development and infrastructure projects. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow your career by working alongside the Site/Civil Lead on land/community development projects including residential, mixed-use, commercial, industrial, institutional, and other exciting land development projects in a continuous learning environment.</p><p><b>Job Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Assist the Site/Civil Lead in all aspects of the work, including project delivery and client service;</li><li>Preparation of proposals and fee estimates;</li><li>Preparation and modification of various engineering documents including reports, memos, specifications, plans, construction schedules, and cost estimates;</li><li>Preparation of design plans for projects using engineering and design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.) and equipment;</li><li>Coordination with approving authorities for permit approvals;</li><li>Familiarity with current permitting from Calgary and adjacent municipalities is a plus;</li><li>Collaborate with team members on project tasks and assignments; and</li><li>Perform other job duties as requested.</li></ul><p><b>Qualifications</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering;</li><li>EIT designation with APEGA. P. Eng. designation with APGEA preferred;</li><li>3+ years of prior relevant professional experience in site/civil design, including site planning, grading, utility design, storm water management, and erosion and sediment control;</li><li>Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office;</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills;</li><li>Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking, and judgment capabilities; and</li><li>Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work in a collaborative team environment.</li></ul><p>Langan provides a rich array of programs and benefits to help its employees advance their careers and enhance the quality of their lives.
