Sales Manager
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Sales Manager to lead revenue growth and market expansion in Edmonton. This role is responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing key customer relationships, and overseeing the entire sales process from lead generation to post-sale support. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep industry knowledge, and a proven ability to drive results through team development and strategic planning.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans aligned with company growth objectives
- Achieve revenue targets and expand market share through customer retention and competitor conversions
- Collaborate with the VP of Sales on annual budgets and monthly forecasts
- Establish and monitor sales KPIs, reporting performance metrics to leadership
- Build and maintain relationships with home builders, contractors, and suppliers
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities
- Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team
- Ensure accurate sales activity tracking in CRM tools
- Partner with internal teams to deliver quality designs, competitive pricing, and timely material delivery
- Represent the company at industry events to promote products and network
- 7+ years of experience in building materials sales
- 5+ years of experience in sales leadership roles
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated, organized, and results-driven with strong time management skills
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- In-depth knowledge of construction materials, industry trends, and regulations
- Ability to lead and motivate teams while fostering a positive work environment
