Job Description
<p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Establish objectives for the company and formulate or approve policies and programs.</li><li>Evaluate cost and quality of goods or services.</li><li>Participate in the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.</li><li>Coordinate the work of regions, divisions or departments.</li><li>Review and process claims against suppliers. DMN’s.</li><li>Represent the company or delegate representatives to act on behalf of the company in negotiations or other official functions.</li><li>Interview, hire and oversee training of staff.</li><li>Plan human resource requirements in conjunction with other departmental managers.</li><li>Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed in the department, service and laboratory.</li><li>Assign, co-ordinate and review the technical work of the department or project teams.</li><li>Supervise technicians, technologists, Quality Engineers, etc.</li><li>Establish and conduct quality control programs, operating procedures and control of raw materials, chemical intermediates or final products.</li><li>Establish and conduct quality control programs, operating procedures and control strategies to ensure consistency and adherence to standards for raw materials, products and waste products or emissions.</li><li>Communicate Quality Objectives to the organization and report status on a regular basis.</li><li>Maintain and Improve Quality Management System.</li><li>Ensure IATF 16949 and Customer Specific requirements are being met.</li><li>Conduct Quality System audits as required to IATF 16949 standard.</li><li>Coordinate resolution of all Customer Rejections and Corrective Action follow-up/completion.</li><li>Approve Supplier PPAP’s for new parts/engineering changes.</li><li>Assign program responsibilities to Quality Engineering staff and other Quality tasks as required.</li><li>Ensure completion of Quality documentation for the Management review and monthly reporting. Key Measurables.</li><li>Write technical reports.</li><li>Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.</li></ul><p><b>Secondary Duties:</b></p><ul><li>Represent Company at customer place of business on quality issues/concerns.</li><li>Other duties as required.</li></ul><p>All employees are expected to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations, the Workers Safety Insurance Act and the Cooper Standard Automotive Health, Safety and Environment Procedures.</p><h3>Employment Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Post-secondary education in Engineering or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management within the automotive industry.</li><li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.</li><li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to manage challenging customer relationships with professionalism and tact.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, fostering trust and collaboration.</li><li>Willingness and ability to travel to customer locations as required.</li></ul><p><b>Position Type:</b> Regular</p><p><b>Additional Locations:</b></p><p><b>Additional Information:</b></p><p><b>Remote Status:</b> On-site</p></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
