Position Overview:
Lambert Nemec Group is supporting an organization in the recruitment of a People & Culture Business Partner (1 Year Term). This role is ideal for an HR professional with strong labour relations experience who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing environment. The successful candidate will provide advisory support across the HR function while taking the lead on labour relations, investigations, and employee experience initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guide leaders on a wide range of employee and labour relations matters, ensuring decisions align with employment legislation and collective agreements.
- Manage grievance processes, support contract interpretation, and provide recommendations on workplace issues.
- Conduct detailed and impartial investigations related to policy concerns, complaints, and sensitive employee situations.
- Develop and deliver training and learning sessions for employees and leaders through both in-person and digital formats.
- Support employee engagement and culture programs, including recognition initiatives and milestone celebrations.
- Collaborate with HR team members to ensure consistent application of policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Contribute to ongoing HR projects that support organizational growth and process improvement.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada and reside in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
- Minimum of 5 years of HR experience with a strong foundation in labour relations and unionized workplace dynamics.
- CPHR designation or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience leading investigations, managing grievances, and supporting bargaining or arbitration processes.
- Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and navigate situations with limited structure.
- Solid understanding of employment legislation and HR standards.
