Are you a detail-oriented payroll professional who thrives in a collaborative and fast-paced environment? We're seeking an experienced Payroll Advisor to join a growing team supporting over 200 employees. This is a newly created, permanent role offering stability, meaningful work, and an opportunity to be part of a highly engaged and supportive team.This role will be a hybrid model with the office being in central Edmonton.
What You'll Do
- Process semi-monthly payroll (and off-cycle payrolls when needed) with accuracy and care.
- Manage employee changes, new hires, and terminations within the HRIS (UKG).
- Reconcile payroll accounts and ensure timely remittances to the CRA.
- Administer benefits and pension plans (defined benefit experience such as LAPP is an asset).
- Prepare T4s, ROEs, and other year-end documents.
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records in line with policies and legislation.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies-offering thoughtful solutions and insights.
- Partner closely with HR and Payroll team members to improve processes and share knowledge.
- Provide excellent internal customer service and respond to employee inquiries with professionalism.
- You have 3-5 years of payroll experience and enjoy tackling complex payroll challenges.
- You hold your PCP or CPM certification (National Payroll Institute).
- You have strong technical skills in HRIS systems-experience with UKG is a plus.
- You're experienced with benefits administration and defined benefit pension plans.
