<p>YORK CATHOLIC DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD</p><p>Invites applications for the position of:</p><p>OSSTF - Temporary Behaviour Resource Worker</p><p>One (1) Temporary Full Time Position (35 hpw)</p><p>Effective Date: Immediately - June 26, 2026</p><p>Salary: OSSTF_PSSP 2 - $ $50.24 per hour (plus vacation pay)</p><p>Hours Per Week: 35</p><p>Position Summary:</p><p>Under the direction of the Manager, Behaviour Resources Services and ABA, the Behaviour Resource Worker provides direct service to students with a range of behavioural, social, emotional, developmental and mental health issues using individualized, small group, and class-wide approaches.</p><p>In addition, Behaviour Resource Workers perform behaviour assessments and will use evidence-informed practices to develop and implement behaviour management plans for a group of schools.</p><p>Major Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Provide direct service to students who experience social, emotional and behavioural difficulties.</li><li>Develop and implement proactive programs and presentations for students experiencing social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.</li><li>Provide classroom and student focused consultation regarding behaviour management, intervention strategies, and implementation of programs to promote change.</li><li>Perform behaviour assessments, develop and implement behaviour management plans using evidence-based and –informed best practices.</li><li>Liaise with Teachers, Principals, Board personnel, parents and outside agencies as appropriate.</li><li>Prepare, transmit, and maintain appropriate electronic documentation using various system tools and software (e.g., G-Suite, E-File, Serv-u).</li><li>Provide in-services to Board personnel with regards to behaviour management issues (e.g., BMS) and topics related to social-emotional learning and strategies that promote mental wellbeing, as required.</li><li>Commitment to maintain updated and valid Practitioner certificate in an "approved" Crisis Intervention Training Program: Non-Violent Crisis Intervention (e.g., Behaviour Management Systems with Containment-trained, UMAB, CPI).</li><li>Work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team</li></ul><p>Qualifications and Experience:</p><ul><li>Advanced 3-year College Diploma – Child and Youth Worker</li><li>4 – 5 years academic or clinical experience with children across the range of exceptionalities and providing coaching and developing behaviour plans.</li></ul><p>Interested applicants may apply until the close of business on December 1, 2025.</p><p>Thank you for your application. </p><p>We appreciate your interest in the York Catholic District School Board, however, only applicants selected to continue to the interview process will be contacted by Human Resources.</p><p>Commitment to Equity</p><p>YCDSB is an equal-opportunity employer committed to fostering equity and promoting an inclusive workplace culture that reflects the communities we serve.
