CJHS values diversity and inclusion and welcomes qualified applicants from all walks of life.</p><p><br /></p><p>The Program</p><p><br><br></p><p>The Employment Hub is a dynamic, trauma-informed, and client-centered program designed to support adults who are currently involved in, or have had previous involvement with, the criminal justice system. Recognizing the complex barriers faced by this population, the Hub offers a comprehensive range of employment-focused services that promote personal growth, economic independence, and long-term community reintegration. </p><p><br><br></p><p>The Position</p><p><br /></p><p>We are seeking a compassionate and <span >skilledOccupational</span> Therapistto join our Community Residential Facilities. This role works closely with the team to support clients transitioning from correctional settings into the community. The successful candidate will apply occupational therapy models to address client needs related to mental health, addictions, physical health, and daily living.</p><p><br /></p><p>Key Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Conduct comprehensive health assessments (cognition, addictions, physical health, daily living).</li><li>Develop and implement client-centered intervention plans.</li><li>Facilitate referrals and liaise with healthcare providers and community resources.</li><li>Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to program development and evaluation.<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p><p>Qualifications</p><ul><li>Degree in Occupational Therapy and registration with the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists.</li><li>Experience working with marginalized populations, including those with mental health and addiction challenges.</li><li>Strong understanding of community resources and healthcare systems.</li><li>Excellent communication, assessment, and documentation skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting.</li><li>Brain Story Certification considered an asset.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Your past does not define your future.
