<h3>Position Overview</h3>
<p>Registered Nurse provides professional registered nursing services for patients with complex and unpredictable health needs, including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, leadership within the health care team, and coordination of patient care and discharge. The role supports the Concordia vision, mission, and values and promotes a culture of excellence through compassionate, respectful care.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Deliver professional registered nursing services for patients with complex, unpredictable health needs.</li>
<li>Administer prescribed medical treatments and maintain accurate documentation.</li>
<li>Provide independent nursing services and facilitate coordination of care.</li>
<li>Assume a leadership role within the health care team and support interdisciplinary collaboration.</li>
<li>Coordinate patient care and discharge activities in partnership with the health care team.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Qualifications & Experience</h3>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated clinical experience in a related program area (preferred).</li>
<li>Graduate of an approved Registered Nurses education program.</li>
<li>Successful completion of a relevant post‑basic program may be required.</li>
<li>Maintain current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM).</li>
<li>Active participation in professional associations (e.g., Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba) is preferred.</li>
<li>Current CPR and BCLS certifications required in ICU, ER, and CP program areas.</li>
<li>Current CNAA Certification or equivalent for program area.</li>
<li>Knowledge of the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba Standards of Practice, Canadian Nurses Association Code of Ethics, scope of practice, and relevant policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Proficient with computers, software programs, and applications such as Windows, Word, spreadsheets, and databases.</li>
<li>Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and critical thinking/problem‑solving skills.</li>
<li>Ability to prioritize and respond to simultaneous demands, adapt quickly to changing situations, and function effectively in a demanding, stressful environment.</li>
<li>Preferred language competencies in an Indigenous language and knowledge of Indigenous customs, traditions, and values.</li>
</ul>
<h3>Physical Requirements</h3>
<ul>
<li>Shift work required.</li>
<li>Extended hours may be required.</li>
<li>Position involves physical activities such as standing, transferring, transporting patients and equipment.</li>
<li>Exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, and aggressive or agitated patients/visitors may occur.</li>
