Year Round<br /><b>WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?</b><br /><ul><li> Free Alterra Mountain Pass for employees; <br /> ski or ride for free atAlterra owned destinations! </li><li> Alterra Mountain Passes for your family; <br /> </li><li> Discounts on Blue Mountain Lift tickets for friends and family; <br /> </li><li> Free skating;<br /> </li><li> Staff priced meals &Starbucks treats; <br /> </li><li> Staff room rates at all our hotels; <br /> </li><li> Retail savings at Burton, The North Face, Red Devil Sports, Hillside, and more! </li></ul><ul></ul><b>YEAR ROUND-FULL TIME</b><br /><b>EMPLOYEE BENEFITS - HEALTH AND DENTAL (90 Days)</b><br /><b>WHAT WILL I BE DOING?</b><br />The Lift Mechanic Trainee assists in maintenance, modification and inspection of ski lift equipment under the supervision of the certified Lift Mechanic.<br /><ul><li>Assists with the construction, modifications, preventative maintenance and inspections of ski lifts as per Code Z98, TSSA regulations, the lift manufacturer and the insurance carriers standards</li><li>Keep record of maintenance performed as per Blue Mountains preventative maintenance program</li><li>Assist in the troubleshooting of lift problems as they occur</li><li>Advises the Lift Supervisory team of any occurrences or changes in conditions that may affect the lift, machinery and/or its passengers</li><li>Perform daily pre-operational lift start-up inspection to ensure that each lift is operable during operating season</li><li>Operate hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment both in the operations maintenance shop and in the field at the lift</li><li>Occasionally assist in other areas Mountain Operations Maintenance as needed to ensure the resorts success</li><li>(IE. Snowmaking, Attractions Maintenance etc.)</li></ul><br /><b>WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?</b><br /><ul><li>High school diploma</li><li>Must possess interest and aptitude in basic mechanical systems</li><li>Must possess interest and aptitude in using basic hand tools</li><li>Registered as a SML-T (TSSA certificate)</li><li>Experience as a lift Operator would be a strong asset</li><li>Basic knowledge of building construction as well as TSSA requirements and the Z98 code is required</li><li>G license required</li><li>Certifications as a Welder, Millwright, Electrician or Mechanic would be an asset</li><li>Basic knowledge of hydraulics and low voltage circuitry would be an asset</li><li>Experience operating off road equipment, ATV, snowmobiles, etc</li><li>Able to work at high heights</li></ul><br /><b>AUTHENTICITY | EMPOWERMENT | COLLABORATION | PURPOSE</b><br /><b>BLUE MOUNTAIN RESORT COMPANY OVERVIEW</b><br />Blue Mountain Resort is Ontario's largest mountain resort.
