<p><h3>Role</h3><p>Join to apply for the <b>LAT - ST grade in Neurology</b> role at <b>NHS Scotland</b></p>
<p>NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non‑clinical professions. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.</p>
<p>The shift pattern for this post is Monday to Friday with on‑call. This is a Fixed term post for 6 months. The duties will be those of an ST grade doctor and include the overall management of patients in the ward and clinic under the supervision of Consultants. The level of responsibility allowed in patient management and operating will be related to the individual’s level of experience, but is expected to be close to that of an ST trainee. Every effort will be made to facilitate further training in the sub‑specialist area(s) of the candidate’s choice. On‑call support is available 24/7.</p>
<h3>Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Overall management of patients in the ward and clinic under consultant supervision.</li>
<li>Support the department in seeing the full spectrum of neurology patients: planned admissions, transfers, and workload prioritisation.</li>
<li>Participate in departmental teaching sessions and supervise junior staff leave and on‑call requirements.</li>
<li>Administrative duties: patient reports, letters, organisation of postgraduate training meetings, and coordination of junior staff leave and on‑call schedules.</li>
<li>Clinical communication with neurology colleagues, general practitioners, other specialists, and agencies such as the Procurator Fiscal and police.</li>
