As our Journeyman Plumber / Gasfitter, you'll be the hands and mind behind safe, reliable systems. Expect to:
- Install, service, and repair plumbing, gas, venting, and HVAC-related systems in residential and light commercial settings
- Work on radon mitigation systems — sealing, venting, designing pipelines, and system integrations
- Perform gas fitting, piping, code-compliance installations, pressure testing, leak detection
- Read blueprints, drawings, and technical specs; make field modifications confidently
- Troubleshoot issues with mechanical logic, not just brute force
- Ensure all work meets safety codes, manufacturer specs, and Vent Pro's high standards
- Liaise directly with customers when needed; explain your work, earn trust
- Maintain clean job sites, document work, follow safety protocols, and collaborate with the team
Who You Are
We're looking for someone who lives by their tools and takes pride in precision. You'll probably have:
- A valid Journeyman Plumber / Gasfitter license in Saskatchewan (or equivalent, recognized qualification)
- Several years (3+) of hands-on plumbing and gasfitting experience
- Comfortable working with HVAC / radon / venting systems (or willing to learn)
- Strong problem solving and diagnostic skills — you don't just fix things, you find the root cause
- Good communication skills — you'll sometimes interact with clients or site owners
- A mindset for safety, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship
- Ability to work independently, take ownership of a job, and mentor less experienced techs
Bonus if you have certifications or experience in radon mitigation or HVAC systems.
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation (based on experience + trade premium)
- Opportunities for growth, training, and cross-skill development (radon systems + HVAC)
