Job Description

Job Summary

The IT Support Supervisor will oversee a team of End User Support Technicians within a central information technology organization, focusing on delivering end-user services, support, and endpoint management. The role involves fostering collaboration among various information technology teams to ensure successful support for the enterprise.

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for overseeing IT support team, providing leadership and guidance to individual contributors
  • Oversees query escalation process for troubleshooting and to ensure that the helpdesk system remains fit for purpose as the business’ technology evolves
  • Manages business technology and equipment, including installation, maintenance and assessments
  • Supervises the daily activities of support or team members
  • Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities for direct reports
  • Problem solving is guided by policies and procedures; receives guidance and oversight from manager
  • Applies operational business practices and coordinates with other closely related areas to improve efficiency
  • Impacts the quality, efficiency and effectiveness of own team and its contribution to the department
  • Uses judgment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve day-to-day technical and operational problems
  • Explains information, conveys performance expectations and handles sensitive issues
  • Has formal supervisory responsibilities; coordinates resources and sets daily priorities of direct reports to meet operational objectives
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred

Experience

  • Typically requires 6+ years of related work experience
