Job Description

We are seeking an Intermediate Project Manager (Level 2) to join our team and support our federal government client in managing complex application development projects. As an Intermediate Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the project lifecycle, from development to implementation and operations startup, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and that projects are delivered within agreed timeframes, budgets, and performance parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage project development, implementation, and operations startup, ensuring resources are available and projects are fully operational within agreed time, cost, and performance parameters.
  • Formulate statements of problems and establish procedures for the development and implementation of significant, new, or modified project elements.
  • Define and document project objectives, recommend budgetary requirements, and establish the composition, roles, responsibilities, and terms of reference for the project team.
  • Report project progress regularly and meet with stakeholders and other project managers to discuss and solve problems.
  • Prepare plans, charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analyzing or displaying problems, utilizing a variety of project management tools.
  • Ensure project sign-off upon completion.
  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Reliability security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 60 months (5 years) of experience in Information Technology (IT) as a Project Manager for complex application development projects.
  • Minimum of 60 months (5 years) of experience managing the development and implementation of complex systems, including preparing project plans and recommending budget requirements.
  • Minimum of 60 months (5 years) of experience managing projects, including planning and scheduling multiple system releases.
  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Experience working with federal government clients.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
