IT Project Manager, Store Operations and Service Solutions  

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

POSITION SUMMARY:

Seeking a Project Manager that is a dynamic, collaborative leader with proven project and program management skills that is adept at constructing, motivating, and developing high-performance teams to achieve exceptional results. The Project Manager will work closely with and partner with experienced Portfolio Directors, Delivery Directors, Project and Program Managers as well as Delivery Leads by acting as a liaison for our IT teams and all other functional partners. This individual will ideally have both strong retail industry experience and experience with Point-of-Sale technologies. The PM will bridge the communication gap between product owners, business partners and software development teams. In addition, the individual will lead all project management and delivery lead activities such as project meetings/SCRUM and Agile standups and retrospectives, identification of project risks and opportunities, status reporting, project/product team financial and vendor management, and milestone identification and tracking. This individual will also be intricately embedded in the project management portfolio managing the multi-faceted aspects and activities that bring IT initiatives to life. Will report to the Director of Portfolio Management Store Operations and Service Solutions.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Analyze project requests to determine and establish realistic goals, baselines, budgets, resources plans, and project plans.
• Provide guidance on project team resource requirements in collaboration with IT leadership and resource managers.
• Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities.
• Ability to work effectively at all levels of the organization and influence others to progress towards a shared vision or goal.
• Perform risk assessment and mitigation plans as required.
• Partner with IT, Store Operations, & Business Sponsors to define success metrics and criteria.
• Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts; Evaluate business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
• Provide Delivery Leads and Team Director with identified risks, concerns, and ambiguities discovered during the gathering of requirements; assist team in developing solutions.
• Plan, organize, facilitate, and lead meetings and workgroups as well as oversee and execute follow-up activities.
• Ability to gather, create and review clear and well-structured business requirements and other project/ product team documentation in partnership with business analysts.
• Convert roadmap features into smaller user stories. Create reports, dashboards, and visualizations.
• Analyze process issues and bottlenecks to make improvements.
• Communicate and validate requirements, delivery, testing and release plans with relevant stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain status reporting tools with Project Managers and Delivery Leads
• Conduct Lessons Learned with PM for project initiatives.
• Collaborate with product managers on roadmap planning and backlog.
• Coordinate with different IT and business teams to improve productivity and communication.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ of experience with Agile project management delivery.
• 5+ of experience as a project manager in an IT environment.
• Well versed in defining roadmaps and collaborating with teams that employ Sprint methodologies.
• Demonstrated skill in the field of Project Management & Business Analysis, Information Technology, Retail System Enhancements that drive customer satisfaction, retention, new product offerings and overall market share.
• Strong ability to follow up and prioritize activities with all team members on deliverables.
• Experience with any or all tools is a plus: Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office Suite of Applications, Atlassian Tools (Jira, Kanban Boards, etc.) and Sharepoint
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in the Retail Industry and Point of Sale technologies a plus.
• Expertise in project management processes and requirements documentation and IT software development lifecycles both Agile and Waterfall software development methodologies.
• Ability to facilitate complex virtual and linked teams in multiple organizations, business functions and across multiple and varied workstreams.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams of employees and contractors, offshore and onshore.
• Strong experience providing fiscal management of project/program budgets both capital and expense through the creation, monitoring and reporting on financial statuses, vendor contracts and budget limitations/opportunities.
