The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As an IT Middleware & Automation Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create, troubleshoot, and maintain middleware software modules and ensure proper configuration, mapping, and rule-based data manipulation within the middleware environment.
- Implement and support standard services for the enterprise.
- Serve as the technical liaison between the vendor and internal customers, ensuring effective communication and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain security protocols related to middleware systems, conduct regular audits of rules, and change control policies. Stay informed about regulatory requirements and compliance related to middleware applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve middleware/server issues promptly and assist in cloud platform engineering roadmaps; integrating voice of customer from stakeholders and focus groups.
- Focus team on automating support activities, ensuring security and compliance, and providing reliable, stable, cloud infrastructure platforms.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher AND seven (7) years of IT Middleware Specialist experience
OR
- High School Diploma/GED from AND eleven (11) years of IT Middleware Specialist experience
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Proficiency in custom rule writing, mapping, and configuration and strong understanding of structured and unstructured data manipulation.
- Familiarity with testing processes and validation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent customer service orientation and experience working Agile methodologies or working as part of an Agile team
- Experience with cloud compute solutions and proficiency in various programming and scripting languages and familiarity with industry compliance and security standards.
- Working knowledge of the TCP/IP networking, load balancing principles, infrastructure management concepts, and common Internet services/protocols such as DNS, LDAP, HTTP.

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $119,076 – $145,537, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
