Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Manager function is the local IT lead for the Canada business unit and will also support and align with the regional and global Griffith vision. The manager should foster a culture promoting empowerment, growth, and a collaborative spirit within the IT department both locally, regionally and at a Global Level.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
As a member of the North America Regional IT team, contribute to the iterative development of the global IT strategy, ensuring that unit/regional specific requirements are heard and addressed. Focus will be in the following areas: Business Relationship Management Business Analysis Facility Maintenance Operations Support Team Development Being part of the NA IT team to facilitate the implementation of the IT strategic plan in support of the company vision. Provide a strategic eye to assist in requirements gathering and analysis that dive business advantage and/or meet corporate needs. Manage and build relationships with vendors and strategic alliances to meet present and future needs. Promote a cooperative and supportive customer service attitude to ensure enhanced working relationships with all. Direct and provide developmental opportunities for all staff while promoting an environment of teamwork, effective communication, empowerment, and collaboration. Maintain effective communication with all internal customers to ensure coordination and exchange of information for accomplishing goals. Creates and maintains relationships with business and technology stakeholders to facilitate timely and accurate delivery, identification of risks, and resource management. Facilitates change management initiatives and the required business transformation. Facilitates projects to execute based on committed scope, schedule, and budget. Facilitates project budget management activities. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of GF Canada IT Team. Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration/Commerce or a related field from an accredited college/university is preferred. 5+ years of experience in the functional area assigned. Demonstrated ability to assess and enhance IT processes within an organization to meet business needs. Prior experience in end user support, business analysis, business intelligence, relationship management and IT Operations. Must have strong analytical, presentation and communication skills. A minimum of 10% travel is required. What We Offer(*):
