We are searching for a solutions-oriented and ambitious IT Lead to join a fast growing organization in Coquitlam. This is a growth opportunity, with good scope to promote to Director for a highly capable individual. The salary is competitive and the total comp should land in the $120k-$160k range.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dynamic team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage recruitment, training, performance assessments, and career development for the IT team.
  • Develop and execute strategic IT infrastructure plans to ensure secure, scalable, and available systems and network resources.
  • Maintain and enhance the organization’s technology assets, including hardware, software, servers, and network components.
  • Monitor system performance, conduct routine maintenance, and troubleshoot issues for a seamless IT environment.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align IT strategies with organizational objectives.
  • Create and execute a comprehensive IT roadmap, driving projects that support business growth, enhance operational efficiency, and improve user experience.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements, recommending innovative solutions to drive business value.
  • Establish and uphold IT security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry regulations and protect sensitive information.
  • Manage disaster recovery and business continuity plans, minimizing risks and downtime in the face of system failures or cyber-attacks.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure service level agreements are met.
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users, resolving IT-related issues.
  • Organize and lead training sessions to enhance end-users’ proficiency in utilizing IT systems and applications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in successful IT management, with expertise in leading and managing teams and/or projects.
  • Experience in IT, including Desktop support, Asset Management, and proficiency in Microsoft technologies (Office, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure, Active Directory, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, security, and networking technologies.
  • Exposure to cyber security and/or compliance advantageous.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, CISSP) are an asset.
