Overview

As a year 2023 IT Intern, you will work in the Valhalla Infastructure department and be expected to: ​

  • Work with the IT Team to troubleshoot Windows PC upgrade issues
  • Work with end-users to ensure PC systems are properly configured
  • Learn how to use SCCM reporting tools.
  • Work with Active Directory to ensure user profiles are configured properly.
  • Update and maintain operating procedures and other documentation

Responsibilities

  • Contribute individually and/or as a team member
  • Work with the IT SCCM Team and system Admins for PC upgrade issues.
  • Work with end-users to ensure PCs are on the domain, have SCCM working, and have enough space for future patches.
  • Provide PC troubleshooting for hardware and software
  • Assist with computer setup including hardware and software provisioning
  • Provide Helpdesk desk support for employees
  • Review and clean up Active Directory profiles
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs.
  • Update and maintain operating procedures and other documentation
  • Other duties as assigned

 

  • Computer Science, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems major
  • Have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Knowledge of Windows operating system
  • Ability to do minimal PC hardware troubleshooting
  • Familiar Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong verbal and written communication
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well in teams
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance
  • Ability to pick up information quickly and to implement it accurately.

 

Desired Skills

  • Knowledge of PC networking

 

Salary and Benefits: 

  • $22 – $25 depending on experience
