Location: NYC

Hourly Rate: $15-16

Number of Weekly Hours: Will vary from week to week on a need basis;

Target Start Date: Immediate

 

GFT is looking for an IT Helpdesk Intern who is eager to learn and interested in building a career in the consulting services industry. If you want to be part of a fast growing IT organization, with wonderful culture which is focused on one of the most thriving business industries, this opportunity is for you!

 

Responsibilities:

 

– Be the IT team’s lead from IT manager`s eyes, ears and hands in the US office

– Pack and send out laptops to new joiners

– Receive used laptops from Leavers

– Sanitize received laptops

– Open RMAs with vendors and suppliers

– Log and keep track of equipment inventory

– Help out with office equipment changes, installation etc

– Reconfigure laptops to bring back to factory settings

– Work with HR to help with miscellaneous projects involving IT

– Create work orders with building maintenance to address any repair needs

– Open Mail and distribute to responsible parties

– Office maintenance for miscellaneous needs

 

Mandatory Requirements:

 

– Good communication and analytical skills

– Understanding of the IT basics – How to connect to WiFi, setup a conference call, installing a printer etc

– Pursuing either Bachelors or Master Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
