IT Analyst, Compute and Storage – HYBRID

Join our Calgary energy client on an initial 8-month contract as an IT Analyst, as they embark on an exciting Data Centre move project. We’re on the lookout for a contract resource to ensure a seamless transition in which your primary focus will be on meticulously understanding the intricate configurations of each system slated for relocation and coordinating the necessary preparations. Responsibilities
• Current state assessment of On-Prem Data Centre services:

o ESX
o Cisco UCS/Hyperflex
o NetApp
o Cohesity

• Technical requirements gathering, validation and scoping
• Assist with planning for Data Centre move
• Assist with and contribute to compute and storage designs for Data Centre move
• Assistance with operational activities as required (e.g., plugging cables in, racking and stacking (some physical labour is required)).
• Project delivery and communication (including preparation of documentation and presentations)

Qualifications
• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure management, with a focus on compute and storage systems.
• Proficiency in conducting comprehensive assessments of both virtual and physical infrastructures, ensuring a thorough understanding of system configurations.
• Proven track record in planning and executing large-scale Data Centre moves, with a keen eye for detail and meticulous project management skills.
• Expertise in working with technologies such as ESX, Cisco UCS/Hyperflex, NetApp, and Cohesity, demonstrating a deep understanding of their functionalities and capabilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with cross-functional teams and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
