Job Title: Director of IT
Location: Larger Community Hospital (Part of a Healthcare System)

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Director of IT to lead our information technology initiatives at a larger community hospital, which is part of a well-established healthcare system. This role will oversee multiple facilities and manage a team of 14 FTEs, supporting 1,800 employees. The Director of IT will be responsible for providing strategic vision, leadership, and oversight for the development and management of all IT systems, ensuring they align with the hospital’s mission and strategic goals. This role reports directly to the CFO.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide vision and leadership for the development, management, and implementation of technology strategies to meet the hospital’s operational and clinical needs.
- Oversee IT operations across multiple facilities, managing a team of 14 FTEs and supporting the technological needs of 1,800 employees.
- Collaborate with medical staff to address clinical and administrative information needs, ensuring alignment with patient care objectives.
- Develop and execute IT initiatives that support the hospital’s mission, strategic goals, and priorities.
- Ensure the secure and efficient operation of information systems, data, and resources.
- Manage IT projects from inception through execution, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in healthcare IT to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in IT or IS, including overseeing a team and managing projects.
- Experience in a healthcare/hospital setting is required.
- Strong understanding of clinical and administrative information needs in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop IT teams, as well as manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Certifications in IT or related fields, as well as continuing education, are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $130,000.00 – $140,000.00 per year
