Job Description

We’re a small, fast-moving startup creating solutions that support the healthcare industry. Our products are designed to improve access, quality, and efficiency in care—and we’re looking for a Full Stack Engineer who’s ready to take ownership of a high-impact project that directly supports that mission.

You’ll be joining a small, collaborative team that values autonomy, curiosity, and a passion for building meaningful technology. If you’re motivated by making a difference—especially in healthtech—this role offers an exciting opportunity to do just that.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead Development: Own the full lifecycle of a major technical project—from architecture and implementation to deployment and maintenance.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Design, build, and manage infrastructure on AWS (SNS Pinpoint, End User Messaging, Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, IAM, Cognito, and more).
  • Testing & Quality: Write clean, maintainable code with a focus on performance and reliability; develop unit/integration tests to ensure robustness.

  • Documentation: Maintain clear, up-to-date documentation of codebases, systems, and architectural decisions.

  • Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with an internal team member to review technical needs and clarify problem scope based on direct input from clients. Participate in meetings to understand, communicate, and manage client expectations effectively throughout the project lifecycle.

What We’re Looking For

  • Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • Experience:

    • 3+ years of experience in full-stack development and Cloud Development.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently lead and deliver production-level software projects.

  • Technical Proficiency:

    • Deep familiarity with AWS services, particularly serverless apps and functions that involve SNS, End User Messaging, S3 and DynamoDB.
    • Strong backend development experience in JavaScript.
    • Solid experience building modern front-end interfaces with React.

  • Mindset:

    • Self-directed and highly motivated.
    • Lifelong learner who enjoys staying current with new tools and technologies.
    • Comfortable working independently and making architectural decisions.

  • Bonus:

    • Experience working in healthcare, or related industries.
    • A personal interest or passion for solving problems in healthcare.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada at the time of applying.

We know not everyone checks every single box. If you’re excited about the role and think you could do great work here, we strongly encourage you to apply. A learning mindset and the ability to grow into new challenges are just as important to us as any specific skill or credential.

What You’ll Get

  • Remote-First Culture: Work In Canada from wherever you're most productive.
  • Competitive Compensation: We offer competitive salary packages that reflect your experience and impact.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Full health insurance coverage to keep you supported.
  • Mission-Driven Team: A collaborative, transparent, and respectful environment where your work makes a real-world impact.
