<p>Our client in Halifax is looking for a Financial Controller for a 1-year contract. The role can be performed remotely from anywhere in Nova Scotia or New Brunswick.</p>
<h3>Job Responsibilities</h3>
<ul>
<li>Period end financial reporting, financial statement closes, and working paper preparation to ensure the quality and timeliness of reporting for our clients - Strong technical accounting skills are a must</li>
<li>Supervising large and small accounting teams in the finance and accounting function, including controllership and historical reporting for our clients.</li>
<li>Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for our clients</li>
<li>Maintain the integrity of the accounting system and inputs for our clients</li>
<li>Understanding, developing, implementing and monitoring an adequate control environment for our clients</li>
<li>Develop improved processes (people, process, software) for our clients</li>
<li>Managing business processes such as procure to pay and order to cash.</li>
