Our client, who specialize in touchless biometric identification using face recognition and temperature detection to enhance security, health, and productivity for businesses, is currently looking for a Finance Manager to join their growing team. In this role you will be reporting to CFO.
Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of financial processes.
- Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting periodic internal audits to assess compliance with policies and procedures and providing information to Management.
- Develop and maintain financial models for budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Analyze financial data and performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Provide actionable insights to support decision-making by senior management.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP.
- Coordinate and oversee the preparation of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions and reconciliation of accounts.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory filings.
- Manage cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring of cash balances.
- Optimize working capital and liquidity to support operational needs and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare adhoc reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
- Responsible for monthly payroll and benefits
- Maintains financial staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
- Manage the consolidation of financials across 6+ legal entities, converting native currencies to USD and ensuring accurate monthly close processes.
- Oversee transaction recording, account reconciliations, and resolution of outstanding financial queries to maintain accurate financial reporting.
- Supervise inventory accounting activities, including work order and gross margin reviews, quarantine tracking, and physical inventory counts.
- Coordinate ERP system issue resolution and approve all changes to financial master data to ensure system integrity and compliance.
- Oversee the preparation and timely distribution of all financial reports, including daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting.
- Manage departmental actual-to-budget reviews, update year-end estimates, and ensure accurate monthly MIS reporting to management.
- Ensure completion of monthly bank reporting and quarterly investor reporting in line with stakeholder requirements.
- Maintain accurate and timely weekly cash and inventory forecasts, ensuring alignment with shipments, procurement, and cash flow planning.
- Lead annual external audits (Canada and India), draft financial statements with disclosures, and ensure accurate reporting for quarterly Board packages.
- Oversee internal audits of key financial controls, ensure policy compliance, and manage annual insurance review and renewal.
- Maintain accuracy of financial data including price books, intercompany transfer pricing agreements, and review ECOs for financial impact.
- Responsible for ensuring all local state taxes are properly recorded and filed (i.e. Canada, US, Dubai and India).
- Responsible for the coordination of the annual budget cycle and ensuring information is available for Board approval
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CMA focus preferred.
- Manufacturing experience a must
- 5+ years of progressive experience within finance.
- Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
- Strong analytical skills to support solid decision-making ability.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations (GAAP, IFRS, etc.).
- Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting techniques.
- Experience with ERP systems and financial software (e.g., VISUAL, SAGE, Tally, etc.).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience developing and improving financial processes and initiatives relating to cost reductions, risk mitigation and reporting efficiencies.
- Ability to work with multi-national teams.
- Resourceful with the ability to resolve issues with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel as required.
