<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><b><strong>Welder / Fitter – Production Shop</strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Location:</strong></b> Production Shop<br /><b><strong>Hours:</strong></b> 7:00am – 3:30pm</p><p><b><strong>About the Role</strong></b></p><p>Our Welder/Fitter plays a key role in the custom fabrication and repair of waste and recycling equipment. This position requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret blueprints while utilizing a variety of measuring tools. You will also contribute to equipment refurbishment projects.</p><p>You will primarily work with <b><strong>black steel (mild carbon)</strong></b> in multiple gauges (10, 12, 14) and plate thicknesses (3/16”, 1/4”, 3/8”). Welding tasks may range from small 1-inch stitch welds to continuous beads several feet long and may occasionally include round bars and pipes of similar thickness.</p><p><b><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></b></p><ul><li>Manufacture and repair waste and recycling equipment using <b><strong>MIG welding</strong></b> and <b><strong>torch cutting</strong></b>.</li><li>Lay out, position, and secure parts and assemblies to meet specifications.</li><li>Use a range of hand and power tools for fabrication tasks.</li><li>Read, interpret, and build components based on shop drawings.</li><li>Safely lift materials and components up to <b><strong>50 lbs</strong></b>.</li><li>Work independently while also collaborating effectively with the team.</li><li>Perform additional duties as assigned.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><b><strong>Qualifications</strong></b></p><ul><li>Proven <b><strong>MIG welding</strong></b> experience.</li><li>Strong ability to read and interpret <b><strong>blueprints</strong></b>.</li><li>Experience with fitting and fabrication processes.</li><li>Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools.</li><li>Ability to accurately read and interpret a measuring tape.</li><li>Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li><b><strong>Torch cutting</strong></b> and <b><strong>forklift operation</strong></b> experience an asset, but not required.</li></ul><p><br /></p><p><br /></p></p>Company Description<p>Here at Express Employment Professionals, we are large enough to exceed all your needs and expectations, yet small enough to give you the one-on-one attention and customer service you deserve.
