Join us in the office three days a week to contribute, connect, and excel in our vibrant environment.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.</li><li>Engineering Drawings: Create engineering drawings to support the communication, evaluation, and implementation of engineering solutions.</li><li>Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions; design the feasibility testing approach and supervise its implementation to support the development and validation of engineering solutions.</li><li>Health, Safety, and Environment: Follow the organization's health, safety, and environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and mandatory instructions to identify and mitigate environmental risks and risks to the well‑being of self and others in the workplace. Identify patterns of risky behavior within the team and take appropriate action to resolve them, escalating serious issues as appropriate.</li><li>Technical Developments Recommendation: Research and suggest technical developments to improve the quality of the website/portal/software and supporting infrastructure to better meet users’ needs.</li><li>Personal Capability Building: Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation, where relevant, to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology, external regulation, and industry best practices through ongoing education, attending conferences, and reading specialist media.</li><li>Testing: Use product specifications to design test procedures and standards.</li><li>Research: Carry out a range of research activities either to support others or to fulfill the requirements of the role.</li><li>Waste Management: Lead waste projects or supervise area of the organization, ensuring adherence to regulations and effective reduction, segregation, and disposal of waste.</li><li>Technical Troubleshooting: Support technical troubleshooting efforts, aiding in the quick and accurate identification, analysis, and resolution of technical issues with equipment and experiments.</li><li>Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve specific goals.</li><li>Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships by using relevant sales or client systems.</li></ul><h3>Education</h3><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree Civil or Environmental Engineering.</li><li>Possession of P.Eng. designation to be used to stamp/certify designs. (Mandatory)</li><li>P.E. designation in US is considered an asset.</li></ul><h3>Experience</h3><ul><li>General Experience: 5+ years' experience with developing and implementing strategies for complex remediation and/or risk management.</li><li>Experience in the technical delivery of investigations, designs including drawings and specifications, and construction support for environmental remediation projects in Canada and the US.</li><li>Experience and desire to provide high-profile clients with responsive and innovative solutions.</li><li>Experience working on Canadian and/or US Federal projects is considered an asset.</li><li>Proven experience in client advocacy while developing trusted relationships with regulators.</li><li>Strong understanding of Canadian (including Ontario) environmental legislation.</li><li>Understanding US environmental legislation is considered an asset.</li><li>Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and report‑writing skills.</li><li>Strong commitment to client service excellence.</li><li>Initiative‑taking.</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunity Employer Statement</h3><p>As a diverse and inclusive organization, we encourage individual achievement and recognize the strength of a diverse workforce.
