Purpose of the role:

Working closely with the Directors, the Digital Activation Supervisor is expected to manage the client’s objectives and manage/oversee the day to day executions. The Supervisor is responsible for managing a team of 2+ individuals and the role is focused on digital and it is expected that the candidate has a high-level understanding of the total digital ecosystem and the roles each of the digital platforms play in the daily lives of consumers. Key to this role is the on having a strong technology, analysis and communication background and bring performance results to PHD clients through strong marketplace partnerships, execution and optimization. Providing analysis that informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and optimization of marketing strategy. You will tie the optimization metrics to the strategic intent of campaigns and the underlying business objectives.

The Role & Expectations

Client Engagement:

• Support client portfolio for channel expertise with close collaboration of cross functional team.

• Act as a readily accessible consultant technical platform execution.

• Proactively identifying and discussing technology/advancements and platform opportunities for improvement.

• Ensure active voice within cross functional collaboration.

• Build and maintain effective relationships with colleagues to ensure clear understanding of the overarching, high level business objectives.

• Be able to effectively communicate and teach processes and best practises to peers and members of the team.

Accountability:

• Responsible for overall quality assurance across key accounts including data and reporting accuracy.

• Regularly present analytical work to internal and external audiences.

• Contribute to corporate mandates and education of all staff, including writing POV's, creating presentations, and sharing industry news.

• Own day to day client budgets effectively and accurately.

• Provides guidance for clients that allows them to be efficient with their media dollars across channels.

• Be aware of the various client costs structures and their impact to how and what to buy.

People Management:

• Build and maintain motivation within team.

• Consistently mentors and coach’s junior colleagues in their development, including managing, carrying-out and presenting compelling plans and approaches.

• Assist in the training and development of junior staff, including the review of data entry and reporting to ensure accuracy, quality, and overall understanding. Mentor more junior staff in increasing knowledge base across planning, reporting, and optimizing campaigns.

Leadership:

• Exhibits responsibility for overall quality assurance across all accounts including data and reporting accuracy.

• Provide mentorship and guidance with team members.

• Demonstrate core company values on a day to day basis.

Media/Business Acumen:

• Maintain knowledge of digital capabilities across platforms and practises.

• Demonstrate the ability to inspire action based on analytical work.

• Understand the competitive environment and industry trends and assist in the development of corporate strategies and POV’s.

Your Responsibilities

• Provide meaningful insights and interpretation of data, with actionable recommendations

• Track key media metrics and benchmarks.

• Work with performance analysts to analyse primary and secondary data to develop data-driven marketing strategies for different target groups of consumers.

• Provide key support to analyst team in many aspects of online marketing campaigns, including campaign analysis and optimizations.

• Work closely with internal teams to develop pre-project measurement plans and post-mortem project analysis in order to develop specific and actionable recommendations.

• Build and maintain productive working partnerships with vendors, client teams, and agency partners/teams.

Management Experience:

• 4+ years in a management role; must be comfortable managing a team of 2 or more employees.

• Understanding of client/agency finance processes.

• Must follow agency process to support/push continued adherence to facilitate workflow and manage expectations.

Media Experience:

• 4+ years digital media, including buying, trafficking, analysing and optimizing.

• Knowledge in DCM, Google Analytics, and social platforms is a non-negotiable.

• Must be proficient in media terminology, media math, and reach and frequency calculations.

• Additional skill sets would include Attribution Modelling, working experience or knowledge of Data Management Platforms, etc.
