<p>About the Role:</p><p>We're a licensed childcare centre looking for a dependable and organized Daycare Cook to join our team immediately. The Cook will prepare healthy meals and snacks for children and may occasionally support staff on the childcare floor.</p><p>Responsibilities:</p><ul><li>Prepare nutritious meals/snacks following Canada's Food Guide</li><li>Follow allergy and dietary restrictions</li><li>Maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment</li><li>Manage food inventory and supplies</li><li>Follow licensing and Public Health standards</li><li>Provide classroom coverage when needed</li></ul><p>Requirements:</p><ul><li>Food Handler's Certificate</li><li>Criminal Record Check + Vulnerable Sector Check</li><li>Child Abuse Registry Check (NS)</li><li>First Aid & CPR Level C</li><li>Experience in a kitchen or food service role</li><li>Ability to work as part of a team</li></ul><p>Assets:</p><ul><li>Experience cooking for groups or children</li><li>Knowledge of allergy-safe food prep</li><li>Flexible and reliable</li></ul><p>What We Offer:</p><ul><li>Supportive team environment</li><li>Competitive wage</li><li>Meaningful work that supports children and families</li><li>Contract with possibility of extension</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week</p><p>Work Location: In person</p>
