*Job Overview*We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Unloader to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the shipping and receiving process, ensuring that products are unloaded, organized, and prepared for distribution. This position requires a strong focus on safety, attention to detail, and the ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
*Responsibilities*
* Safely load and unload materials from trucks and containers using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and clamp trucks.
* Accurately pick orders and ensure proper documentation for shipping and receiving.
* Maintain organization of the warehouse by properly storing products in designated areas.
* Perform regular inspections of equipment to ensure safe operation and compliance.
* Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to streamline processes and improve efficiency in materials handling.
* Assist in inventory management by conducting regular counts and reporting discrepancies.
* Follow all safety protocols while operating heavy equipment and performing heavy lifting tasks.
*Requirements*
* Previous experience in warehouse distribution or similar roles is preferred.
* Familiarity with order picking processes and warehouse management systems is a plus.
* Ability to operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks safely is a big plus.
* Mechanical knowledge to assist with basic maintenance of warehouse equipment.
* Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures.
* Physically fit and experience with materials handling, including heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds).
* Previous experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a leadership role is advantageous but not required.
