Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Language: English Start Date of Employment (Approx.): As soon as possible Minimum Education: None Positions Available: 2 NOC Group: 75110 Construction trades helpers and labourers NOC Job Title: Construction Electrician Helper Job Location: Street Surrey, British Columbia V3W 3W2 Canada Job Description: Assist the electrician in installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems, wires, and fixtures, including switches and circuit breakers. Inspect the electric systems on regular basis and replace old wiring, insulated cables and clean the circuits under supervision. Ensure that electrical parts and materials are organized and transported to the supervising electrician as needed. Examine electrical units for loose connections and broken insulation and tighten connections, using hand tools. Drill holes and pull or push wiring through openings, using hand and power tools as per instructions. Keep the work site prepared for the electrician to start the repair and carry the tools, and equipment and to the work site. Maintain the record for the repairs and jobs which are done. Assist the electrician as needed and perform other jobs as assigned by the electrician. Perform all the jobs under the supervision and direction of the electrician. Remove unused materials, dust, and dirt as required after the job is done. Requirements: No formal education is required. Experience is an asset, however on job training will be provided.
