About the Role
Reporting to a senior member of the finance department, this position will focus on the day-to-day accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties. You’ll contribute to accurate financial reporting, manage tenant billings, and support operational teams with timely financial insights.

What You’ll Do

• Perform full-cycle accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties
• Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements and variance analysis
• Manage tenant billings, recoveries, and lease-related accounting
• Reconcile general ledger accounts, bank statements, and subledgers
• Collaborate with property managers to support budgeting and forecasting
• Assist with year-end working papers and external audits
• Maintain up-to-date documentation and ensure compliance with internal controls

What You Bring

• Post-secondary education in accounting or finance
• Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial property accounting
• Strong understanding of full-cycle accounting and lease structures
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
• High attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience in the real estate or property management industry is an asset
