Job Title: Azure DevOps Specialist Overview: As an Azure DevOps Specialist, you will be a key member of our IT team, responsible for implementing and optimizing Azure DevOps practices and tools to streamline our software development and delivery processes. You will leverage your expertise in Azure DevOps to design, build, and maintain automated pipelines, manage infrastructure as code, and facilitate collaboration across development, operations, and quality assurance teams. Key Responsibilities: Azure DevOps Implementation: Lead the implementation and configuration of Azure DevOps tools and services, including Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, Azure Artifacts, and Azure Test Plans, to support our software development lifecycle. Pipeline Automation: Design, develop, and maintain automated build, test, and release pipelines using Azure Pipelines, YAML pipelines, and task-based configurations. Continuously optimize pipelines for speed, reliability, and efficiency. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Implement infrastructure as code practices using Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates, Azure CLI, or Azure PowerShell to automate the provisioning and management of cloud resources and environments. Collaboration and Integration: Foster collaboration and integration between development, operations, and quality assurance teams by configuring integration points between Azure DevOps and other tools, such as GitHub, Jenkins, Jira, and Slack. Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Enable continuous integration and continuous deployment practices by automating code integration, build, test, and deployment processes. Implement branching and merging strategies for code repositories. Monitoring and Reporting: Set up monitoring and reporting mechanisms within Azure DevOps to track the progress, quality, and performance of software development projects. Generate reports and dashboards to provide visibility into key metrics and KPIs. Security and Compliance: Implement security and compliance best practices within Azure DevOps, including role-based access control (RBAC), security policies, and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA). Ensure adherence to security and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred. Proven experience in implementing and managing Azure DevOps tools and services, with a focus on Azure Boards, Azure Repos, Azure Pipelines, and Azure Artifacts. Strong proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python. Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and technologies, preferably Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture is a plus. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues related to Azure DevOps pipelines and configurations. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
