<p><b>About the Role:</b></p><p>We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled <b>Senior Quality Engineer</b> to lead day-to-day delivery and collaboration efforts across agile teams. This role is pivotal in driving quality-first development practices, enabling in-sprint automation, and ensuring robust test coverage through BDD and continuous integration.</p><p><br></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li><b>Sprint-Level Test Ownership:</b></li><li> Lead test planning and execution within sprints, ensuring alignment with the Definition of Done (DoD).</li><li><b>BDD Facilitation:</b></li><li> Drive Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) practices by conducting 3 Amigos sessions with Product Owners, Tech Leads, and QEs.</li><li><b>Shift-Left Testing:</b></li><li> Collaborate closely with developers to integrate testing early in the development cycle and enable in-sprint automation.</li><li><b>Regression Suite Optimization:</b></li><li> Continuously improve regression test coverage based on defect leakage insights and release feedback.</li><li><b>Release Sign-Off:</b></li><li> Coordinate and lead release quality validation, ensuring all quality gates are met before production deployment.</li><li><b>Test Case Gap Analysis:</b></li><li> Identify and address gaps in BDD scenarios and automation coverage, ensuring comprehensive test design.</li><li><b>Scenario Quality Guidance:</b></li><li> Mentor QEs in writing clear, behavior-focused Gherkin scenarios and reviewing for quality and completeness.</li><li><b>Defect Management:</b></li><li> Support defect triaging and lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for post-release issues.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Required Skills & Experience:</b></p><ul><li><b>Programming & Automation:</b></li><li> Java 8, Selenium or Playwright, Rest Assured</li><li><b>Cloud & DevOps:</b></li><li> AWS Cloud, CI/CD pipelines, Batch Testing</li><li><b>Testing Frameworks:</b></li><li> BDD with Cucumber, API Testing</li><li><b>Database & Scripting:</b></li><li> Strong SQL skills for data validation and backend testing</li><li><b>Soft Skills:</b></li><li> Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership abilities in cross-functional agile teams</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Preferred Qualifications:</b></p><ul><li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments</li><li>Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Git, Jenkins, and TestRail</li><li>ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus</li></ul><p><br></p><p><b>Disclaimer</b></p><p> Capgemini is an Equal Opportunity Employer encouraging diversity in the workplace.
