<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>INDUSTRIES LTD. </strong></p><p><strong>Assistant Project Manager </strong></p><p><strong>1667 Railway St. North Vancouver, BC, V7J 1B5 </strong></p><p><strong>Fax. 604-984-7621 </strong></p><p><strong>Tel. 604-984-9652 </strong></p><p> </p><p><strong>Termel Industries is a privately owned structural steel and mechanical specialized service company serving the local Industrial Bulk Handling and Steel Construction Industries. </strong></p><p><strong>We are currently recruiting for the position of an ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER in North Vancouver. </strong></p><p><strong>This is a PERMANENT FULL TIME position to begin immediately. </strong></p><p><strong>Summary </strong></p><p><strong>Under the direction of a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for the administration of construction contracts and ensure project work adheres to the specifications and schedules. </strong></p><p><strong>Maintain communication with client, internal office, shop and field personnel, advise Termel Senior Management on project status. </strong></p><p><strong>Provide scope definition, change management and direction to the project team. Coordinate Termel&#39;s Construction Safety Program. </strong></p><p><strong>Responsibilities </strong></p><p><strong>DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to: </strong></p><p><strong>* </strong></p><p><strong>Administering Client, Vendor and Subcontractor contracts, Construction Safety Program and project deliverables. </strong></p><p><strong>Estimating construction costs and preparing formal or informal quotations and proposals. Project document control with respect to drawings, specifications, procurement and change management. </strong></p><p><strong>Monitoring work in progress, contract obligations and allocated budgets. </strong></p><p><strong>Maintaining clear communication with Clients and Termel Senior Management regarding project status. </strong></p><p><strong>Representing Termel and its interests with Clients, Staff, Vendors and Subcontractors on and off jobsites. </strong></p><p><strong>Identifying problems and allocating appropriate resources to expedite solutions. </strong></p><p><strong>Candidate Qualifications </strong></p><p><strong>1) Minimum 3 years of experience in construction, engineering, estimating, </strong></p><p><strong><span >processing/manufacturing</span> operations or similar industries. </strong></p><p><strong>2) Creative problem-solving abilities and strong three-dimensional visualization. 3) Effective communication and organization skills. </strong></p><p><strong>4) Strong Microsoft Excel skills </strong></p><p><strong>5) Proficiency in AutoCAD and Bluebeam an asset. </strong></p><p><strong>6) Ability to get a Port Pass through the Chamber of Shipping. </strong></p><p><strong>7) Comfortable at heights, operating Industrial jobsites and active Construction zones.
