Role Description:

• Reporting directly to the IT Services Manager, the ABAP Cloud Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient solutions within the SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), with a focus on ABAP Cloud development.
  
• This role supports the organization’s digital transformation initiatives by delivering high-quality, cloud-ready applications that align with business requirements and SAP best practices.
  
• The developer collaborates closely with functional teams, business analysts, and other technical staff to ensure seamless integration, performance optimization, and continuous improvement of SAP systems.
  

Skill Requirements/Qualifications:

The Resource must have the following minimum qualifications or experience:

• Experience and proficiency using Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, TEAMS).
  
• Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, ECC, and other SAP modules.
  
• Proficiency in ABAP, RAP, and CDS views.
  
• Experience with SAP BTP, CAP, SAP Fiori/UI5 and SAP Business Application Studio.
  
• Strong understanding of SAP CPI, APIs (REST, SOAP), IDocs.
  
• Experience with Git, gCTS, transport management, CI/CD pipelines, and Cloud ALM.
  
• Skills in building CDS analytical views, SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), and using embedded analytics in S/4HANA.
  
• Minimum 5 years in similar role.
  
• A post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills/troubleshoot with keen attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication skills with ability to communicate clearly both verbally and written.
  
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams: build and maintain positive relationships with co-workers, direct reports, and stakeholders.
  
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  
• Experience working in a public sector environment.
  

Preferred Qualifications or Experience:

• Experience working on large ERP programs
  
• Experience converting from SAP ECC to SAP S/4 HANA
  
• Familiarity with SAP implementation methodology
  
• Familiarity with Project Management methodologies, particularly Hybrid Agile
  
• Experience working with large System Integrator teams
