At Samay India, we are looking to build a Centre of Excellence for our BI team and are actively looking to hire Azure Data Engineers in both Architect and Senior level developer roles. Prior experience building pipelines and transforming data using Azure Data Factory is mandatory. Knowledge of a Cloud Datawarehouse like Azure Synapse or Snowflake is also required. Our clients are mostly based in the US and Canada region, while we expect you to work in India time, please expect calls for an hour or two in the evenings to provide overlap with our Onsite team. The Data Engineer will be part of our BI team, building enterprise data streams, ingesting data from multiple data sources, and provisioning data as raw data streams and canonical business events as they are working towards integrating their enterprise data. The engineer would be responsible for continuously identifying opportunities for automation and reduction of technical debt & manual data manipulations to create efficiencies & optimize data delivery Qualifications Atleast 5 years of data engineering experience of which 3 years of Azure Data Factory experience Good understanding of modern data platforms including data lakes and data warehouse, with good knowledge of the underlying architecture, preferably in Azure and/or Snowflake Proven experience in assembling large, complex sets of data that meets non-functional and functional business requirements Experience in identifying, designing, and implementing integration, modelling, and orchestration of complex Finance data and at the same time look for process improvements, optimize data delivery and automate manual processes. Working experience of scripting, data science and analytics (SQL, Python, PowerShell, JavaScript) Working experience of performance tuning and optimization, bottleneck problems analysis, and technical troubleshooting in a, sometimes, ambiguous environment. Desired Qualifications: Experience working with cloud based systems – Azure& Snowflake data warehouses Expertise in designing data table structures, reports, and queries Working knowledge of CI/CD Working knowledge of building data integrity checks as part of delivery of applications Technical expertise to build code that is performant as well as secure Technical depth and vision to perform POC’s and evaluate different technologies Experience with Real Time Analytics and Real Time Messaging Preferred Tools: Microsoft Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, Kafka, Business Intelligence, ETL, Power BI, SSAS, Oracle Data Integrator
