JOB SUMMARY

The QA Analyst supports the testing phases of the Watercress Systems Development Lifecycle. This includes test plan development, execution and working with developers to remediate issues. The role requires testing experience, APIs, testing automation, analytical skills, problem solving and some knowledge of business system functionality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand business and functional requirements
  • Write, review, manage, and execute test plans
  • Develop and write test cases
  • Create and validate test files
  • Automate test cases and perform automated testing
  • Perform integration, system and regression testing
  • Performance testing of applications
  • Report test results
  • Implementation and maintenance of testing tools
  • Respond to technical questions and help resolve exception or problem files resulting from testing
  • Work closely with business systems analysts and developers
  • All other tasks and duties as assigned related to the position
  • Fosters a positive and ethical work environment while establishing effective communications of matters and timely resolution of issues

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completed Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from an accredited university or a combination of post-secondary education and work experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of QA testing experience or equivalent related work experience
  • Previous experience with financial services systems a plus
  • Experience with implementing and managing testing tools
  • Experience with Selenium a strong plus
  • Effective individual contributor, team leader and team player
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships, work collaboratively, and resolve problems with people at all levels across the organization, across lines of business and with third party vendors
  • Solid knowledge of practices, procedures, and principles in testing and able to interpret, analyze and document complex concepts and apply these in innovative ways
  • Strong understanding of business processes for loan originations and servicing
  • Problem-solving skills sufficient to analyze information to formulate recommendations to problems
  • Proficient in self-planning skills to schedule, organize and manage multiple activities of varying complexity according to established plans and adjusting work schedules according to changing priorities and time constraints
  • Well-developed analytical skills with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent Interpersonal, negotiation and mediation skills
  • Ability to perform in a fast-paced office environment
  • Flexibility and ability to work overtime
  • Previous experience in Salesforce a plus
  • Previous experience with building and supporting APIs a plus
