Customer has proudly been serving the needs of our communities since 1903 and is seeking a qualified professional for the role of IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer in the Technology Department. This position involves working with all technology staff to ensure infrastructure services meet or exceed business and technical requirements.
Customer’s IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer is an innovative and highly experienced team member who can plan and support the future growth and expansion of the bank’s IT Infrastructure. In this role, the IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer will ensure infrastructure systems are performing as designed, reliable, and secure; strategize on solutions to tackle complex problems; and work with all levels of bank employees to provide technical support. This includes working a typical 8 am to 5 pm schedule with a variety of systems, software applications, and hardware platforms in an environment that places significant importance on the security of the confidential data assets entrusted to us by our customers
The IT Infrastructure Systems Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance and operations of secure and highly available computing platforms, servers, storage devices, and networks. The IT Infrastructure Engineer will plan, direct, install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously monitor and improve the operating environment. This includes identifying and responding to incidents and problems and planning for growth. The IT Infrastructure Engineer shall deploy the release of new technologies and well as design, install, configure, test and maintain servers, storage devices, networks, operating systems and related utilities and hardware. The Infrastructure Engineer must possess good communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with both business and customer engagement teams.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, build, maintain, monitor, and support infrastructure environments and data center facilities
- Act as technical liaison between the IT Infrastructure team and Business Systems Analysts to provide insight into upcoming implementations and strategies including validation of ongoing solutions supportability
- Works across teams to ensure IT system upgrades, deployments and maintenance are conducted with minimal impact to the operation
- Continuously monitor and evaluate IT Infrastructure security, providing ongoing recommendations and reporting any issues when appropriate
- Participate in design, implementation and execution of backup and disaster recovery
- Implement and maintain a global VMware virtual infrastructure
- Install, configure, and maintain a multi-tiered storage environment.
- Support a global Active Directory and a Clustered File Server environment.
- Support heterogeneous, multi-vendor server hardware, including blade and rack-mounted servers as well as converged infrastructure platforms.
- Maintain web and application servers for production and disaster recovery environments.
- Define, implement, and monitor solutions and tools that automate and alert on systems and network performance and issues
- Provide after-hours support for infrastructure-related emergencies as well as off-hours system maintenance
- Responsible for the evaluation, selection recommendation and installation of hardware and software systems required for network operations, security, and protection of customer information and company confidential information in both the production and backup/disaster recovery environments
- Assists in training bank employees with hardware and software utilization and maintenance.
- Responsible for installation, maintenance, and upgrading of the existing telephone system.
- Plan, develop, organize, write, edit and keep current documentation including project plans, project proposals, technical operation documentation, procedure documentation, network diagrams, data flow diagrams, technical support documentation, and scope of work documentation.
- Complete risk management tasks for areas of responsibility or as assigned including but not limited to: required risk assessments are completed and revisited at required intervals; all vendor management due diligence, risk assessments, monitoring and other documentation is completed for new and existing technology vendors as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- 5 years of experience in general Data Center Management
- 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility in a network administration role
- 5 years of experience with computing server and hardware management
- 5 years of experience with systems administration
- 5 years of experience with SAN technologies
- Experience working in data centers consisting of ISeries and Dell hardware.
- Knowledge and experience in the design, implementation and support of VMware’s product line, including vSphere, vCloud, Director,View and SRM
- Working technical knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and services in a multi-site topology, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DFS, IIS and Cluster Services
- Working knowledge and experience with configuring and managing O365 including, Outlook, SharePoint, One Drive, etc.
- Experience with multiple enterprise backup strategies, including agent and SAN based backups, snapshots, and file and block level replication
- Working knowledge of PowerShell or similar scripting language(s)
- Experience monitoring, maintaining and performance tuning storage arrays
- Experience with an enterprise monitoring solution, such as Zabbix, SolarWinds, Nagios, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Windows Server 2016 and MS Windows 10
- Experience working with VDI solutions such as VMware Horizon
- Experience working with Cisco and Dell Data Center equipment
- Solid understanding of LAN/WAN technologies
- Basic understanding of VoIP technologies
- Strong communication and documentation skills
PREFERENCES
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, Banking, or related field
- Work experience and/or training in banking, finance industry
- VMware certification
- MCSE, MCITP, and CCNP certifications
- VCP or CCNA certification
- Microsoft Exchange Server experience
- Experience with HP and Dell servers and/or Nutanix converged infrastructure
- Experience with computing support roles desired, including security administration, service desk, and operating system support
- Working technical knowledge of Linux operating systems (i.e., RHEL and Ubuntu)

- ITIL: Manage delivery of IT business services to internal/external bank customers. This is done through managing business systems, delivering high performing solutions, correcting reliability issues, ensuring systems are secure, tracking progress and Key Performance Indicators, managing, and ensuring the proper delivery of services by assigned IT professionals.
- IT Security: Implement cybersecurity strategies to prevent unauthorized access to organizational assets such as computers, networks, and data. Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Technical Writing: Create content for technical and instructional manuals, training guides, and assessments. Organize content into a document that can be easily understood
- Project Management: Responsible for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of a project.
