As IT Supplier and Asset Management Expert, you work in the IT Supplier and Asset Management Department. You support the department manager by managing IT suppliers and assets for one of the organization’s administrative units. Reporting directly to the department manager, you lead and influence practitioners on business relations and cross-sector strategic projects and initiatives. The nature of the initiatives calls for an extensive and in-depth expertise in managing IT suppliers and assets. You serve as an expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as a resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:
- Deliver a comprehensive report of the IT assets and suppliers for the administrative unit under your responsibility (gaps in volumes, decommissioning and obsolescence, financial optimizations, 12- to 24-month renewals, supplier performance).
- Help asset owners renew major IT agreements.
- Support asset owners with new IT acquisitions.
- Advise and help the manager of the IT Asset Management Department to position, plan, develop, execute and monitor strategic projects and initiatives under your responsibility.
- Work with teams to draft technology requirements and assist with negotiations for strategic procurement teams that negotiate with suppliers to protect the organization’s interests while maintaining long-term relationships with them.
- Help develop and update policies, standards, models and programs to support department operations and strategic projects and initiatives.
- Identify and analyze issues, address significant issues, diagnose issues and make recommendations to decision-making bodies.
- Represent your unit before committees and external partners.

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- A minimum of eight years of experience in supplier management or asset management.
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered.
- Experience in executive reporting.
- Knowledge of French is required.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of contract law (law of obligations) and supplier (third party) management laws.
- Data analysis expertise.
Interpersonal Savvy, Strategic mindset.
