Responsibilities:
- Facilitate processes surrounding the long-range plan, annual budget, quarterly forecast, and monthly variance analysis within IT
- Manage hardware ordering process and coordinate inventory of IT assets
- Coordinate contracts with vendors and suppliers, including managing invoicing, and payment processes
- Manage vendor invoices and work closely with the finance department to ensure they are paid accurately and on time
- Provide project coordination assistance with special projects and any other duties as assigned by the Director or VP of IT
- Investigate and understand detailed drivers of spending within the IT functional areas, and support strategies to manage and report CAPEX, OPEX, one-time costs and project costs
- Design, develop & deliver insightful reports/analyses for distribution within the IT organization and across the wider organization on an ongoing basis
- Act as a change agent, initiating appropriate changes to reduce operational costs and improve service levels
- Coordinate activities/communication between internal teams and vendors
- Provides leadership, advisory supervision, direction, and assistance to departments related to technology procurement activities and facilitates negotiations with vendors
- Manage and create purchase requests for approval according to accounting requirements, entity allocation, and budget expectations
- Develop and manage department policies and frameworks to ensure consistent and effective technology business results
Qualifications
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, business, or other applicable discipline preferred
- 2+ years of related experience within an IT procurement and/or IT business finance management role
- Familiarity with IT terms
- Demonstrated ability to function effectively and with great attention to detail while managing multiple tasks
- Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with a strict level of confidentiality
- Ability to adhere to defined processes and procedures and suggest improvements
- Knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office 365
- Experience in developing and tracking accurate spending forecasts and the associated rationale
- Ability to assess the impact of new process or project requirements on existing IT services and procurement needs
- Organizational and time management skills; ability to balance and effectively prioritize a large set of diverse vendors simultaneously
- Versatility and willingness to work with enthusiasm on constantly changing priorities
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform the duties normally associated with office work including sitting, standing, walking, and use of computer printers, copiers, and telephone during a normal eight (8) hour workday.
